The Team

People that get you where you want to be.

Owner

MATT RECCOW spent his youth following his dad (a college History professor) around the world, doing research from the beaches of Normandy, along the Lewis & Clark trail, and even spent a year in the former Soviet Union. With this “paternal expedition foundation,” Reccow followed suit and joined Discovery Channel’s “Eco Challenge” circus for five years – Morocco, Patagonia, Borneo, Fiji, and New Zealand. One international production begat another, and nearly 50 countries later, Reccow has now worked for CBS’s “Amazing Race,” ABC’s “Expedition Impossible,” CW’s “In Harms Way,” TNT’s “72 Hours,” Discovery Channel’s “World Toughest Truckers,” Amazon’s new version of “Eco Challenge” with Bear Grylls and the list goes on.  Over the last 20 plus years Reccow has worked with some of the best fixers in the world and collaborated with producers from all walks of life.  From these collaborations came Red Cow Production’s Location & Location Services where this team finds locations and facilitates production for shows.

ARI CHEREN is one of unscripted television’s most-traveled producers, having worked in over 60 countries – and all US states – over a busy career. Having scouted, permitted, negotiated and managed locations for myriad productions, Ari has encountered and overcome an equal number of challenges and obstacles as he has found and managed locations for some of the industry’s leading productions. First as a journalist where he covered extreme sports and adventure subjects in over 35 countries, Ari then transitioned to producing television and expanded his international footprint for many broadcast, cable, and digital networks.

Whether it’s jungle, mountain, island or desert that’s needed for a production, Ari’s tenacity and experience serves him well in finding whatever is needed for the world’s top content providers. Since 2000, Ari has amassed an impressive list of clients and outlets that demonstrate his skills not only as a scout, but as a television director and producer.

ELAINE KELLER has enjoyed a robust production career with an emphasis on sports and other unscripted television. Sourcing an average of 60 venues per year, she’s well versed in finding the perfect host location. Not to mention engineering complex logistics for the world’s most audacious events and largest traveling crews (1500 people).

She launched a Summer Olympic Games, an NBA & NHL franchise, Turner Sports’ Goodwill Games, the Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race (plus 11 iterations), and other smaller competitions. At Turner Sports, she created a wide collection of hospitality events for television advertisers – including an array of events for the NBA All-Star Weekend.  This first All-Star Weekend led to 17 more as well as multiple NBA Global Games in China, Germany, England and Taiwan. She managed venues and logistics in Fiji for the 1000-person entourage for Amazon’s “World’s Toughest Race.”
